About 100 seconds, one thumb, no connection needed. The sea is drawn in flat hanafuda colors with thick ink outlines, and no two runs ride the same waves.
Build speed and a crest launches you. JUMP OK! lights when the next one will.
Hold left for a backflip, right for a frontflip. Chain doubles, triples and switch flips.
Land clean and the points are yours. Come down wrong and it is a wipeout.
A full pack meter is five cards in a foil pouch. In the game you tilt it, shake it and tear it with your finger. Here, a tap will do.
Any pack card can come prismatic, about 1 in 50.
Hanafuda's flower cards are twelve months of four, from humble Plains up to five rare Brights. Complete the eight traditional sets, earn each month's hanko seal, and fill a linen hardcover book with clear sleeves and a silk bookmark.
Duplicates are never wasted: enough copies leaf a card’s edge silver, then gold. Gold leaf catches the light, with glints running around the edge and small stars that twinkle as you tilt your phone. Get a card to gold and pull it prismatic too, and it is an ULTIMATE card, shining both ways at once and counted in your book out of 48.
The Moon Rabbit and Tanuki ride from the start. Twelve more follow the months, from January's Crane to December's Phoenix. Pick one and it takes the wave up top.
Riders change who you surf as, never the score. One optional purchase unlocks all 14 and removes ads.
Race head to head against other riders online.
Ride with friends, here or anywhere. Up to eight riders on one sea, with a code or with phones in the same room.
Race riders at your level and climb from Bronze to Master. Medals stay on your card.
One sea a day, the same for everyone, with an Easy, a Medium and a Hard challenge. Clear all three in one run and the Daily pack is yours. A longer streak raises its odds.

Hanafuda Flip!! is a one-thumb surfing arcade game set inside a painted hanafuda card. Launch off the crest, spin into flips and land them clean, then earn packs of the 48 traditional Japanese flower cards by playing. Race friends in Rooms of up to eight riders and climb the League. Free on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Hanafuda Flip!! opens on a still card lying on an oak table. The camera flies in and the sea starts to move, a swell drawn in flat hanafuda colors with thick ink outlines. Build speed and a crest launches you. Hold left for a backflip or right for a frontflip, chain them into doubles, triples and switch flips, and land clean to keep the points. Runs last about 100 seconds and play with one thumb.
Every run pays toward packs of the 48 flower cards of the hanafuda deck: five cards in a foil pouch you tilt, shake and tear open with your finger. Packs come only from play, never from money. The deck's eight traditional yaku are the sets, each month earns a hanko seal, and duplicates leaf a card's edge silver, then gold. The cards live in a linen hardcover book with clear sleeves and a silk bookmark.
The Daily gives everyone the same sea and three challenges. Fourteen riders, from the Moon Rabbit and Tanuki to December's Phoenix, change who you surf as, never the score. Race a real rider's run head to head, host a Room of up to eight riders by code or with phones in the same room, play Surf Royal, where the last rider at each buoy drops out, and climb a monthly League from Bronze to Master. A profile card composed from your collection stands beside your name on one worldwide board shared by iPhone and Android players.
